Hi, with the latest ORBX sale I took the opportunity to test some new regions. I thought they weren't really noticeable in high altitude flying, boy was I wrong!
I did two flights in succession with the CRJ (multiple legs is what I mostly do now ).
First leg is and dawn departure from Victoria CYYJ to Seatle KSEA in a Delta CRJ7 operated by SkyWest, as DL4849.
Climbing to 17,000ft
City of Victoria and Oak Bay
This was an elliptical flight really...
Lined up for RWY16R
After coming in hot, I used the last taxiway out of the runway
Now, after almost 1 1/2 hour, we are ready for departure to Sacramento KSMF, this time as DL4857. Really looking forward for the sights this morning!
With live rafic, I can see we are in the rush hour for the morning departures
Can you see me?
Finally cleared for take off!
Climing out of Tacoma
Prepare yourselves for the volcano spam. Mt Rainier first.
This volcano is owed a lot by Boeing Marketing department. And look at those PNW valleys!
The gloriously infamous Mt. Saint Helen, and the havok it produced
Mt. Hood up front and Columbia river below. Abeam Portland to the west.
Can you get a count of the volcanoes here?
View interrupted by some overcast along the route...
Descending through Northern California, to the left there is Beale AFB, just 27nm out of SMF. Home for the Blackbirds throughout their entire USAF operation.
Sorry, no TD shot but I can show you this
All in all, I'm very impressed about these two regions. I would have paid full price for them no doubt.
The CRJ is coming along very nicely. I'm slowy getting to know it's little secrets and gotchas, very fun to fly!
